For partners

If you advise Australian households on solar, EVs or energy bills, you're welcome to link to Wattcalc from your website, quotes, proposals or email signature. The calculators are free, independent and built on current Australian numbers — useful for showing customers a second opinion on the figures, without anyone having to give us their details.

Who this is for

Solar installers & retailers

Give prospects a clean, independent way to sanity-check payback before they sign.

  • Embed in proposal PDFs and quote emails
  • Link from your "is solar worth it?" pages
  • Drop into post-install handover packs

EV dealers & advisors

Help fleet and private buyers understand real-world running costs vs an equivalent petrol car.

  • Show 5- or 10-year cost of ownership
  • Use in trade-in or fleet-conversion conversations
  • Pair with novated lease or PHEV brochures

Sustainability & energy advisors

Send clients to a single, neutral source for the back-of-envelope numbers.

  • Council energy programmes
  • Building or trade publications
  • Buyers' agents and home upgraders

Free partner badges

Three SVG badges with PNG fallbacks. Each link below carries a UTM tag so we can see partner-driven traffic in our analytics — we don't share or sell that data, and we never collect anything about your customers.

Compact (200 × 60)

Best for sidebars, footers, and email signatures.

Direct calculator links

If you'd rather link to a specific calculator without using a badge, these are the canonical URLs. Add a UTM tag if you want the traffic attributed to your business.

Replace YOUR-NAME with a short slug for your company (e.g. acme-solar) so we can identify partner-sourced traffic.

Where to put the badges

  • Quote PDFs and proposals — alongside your CEC accreditation logo or warranty terms.
  • "Why choose us" or "Our process" pages — to signal you're confident enough to send buyers to an independent number-checker.
  • Email signatures — the compact 200×60 PNG works well at the bottom of a sales reply.
  • Knowledge-base articles — pair with explainer posts on payback, feed-in tariffs, EV running costs, or DMO/VDO changes.
  • Footer of post-install handover packs — gives the customer a way to sanity-check year 1 vs the modelled numbers.

House rules

  • Use the badges as supplied. Don't change the colours, wordmark or text.
  • Solar installers and retailers should be Clean Energy Council accredited (New Energy Tech Approved Seller or CEC Approved Solar Retailer) before linking. We may quietly ask you to remove the badge if there are credible complaints.
  • Don't imply Wattcalc endorses, recommends or has reviewed your business. We haven't.
  • Don't bid on "Wattcalc" or "Watt~calc" branded keywords in paid search.
  • Don't manipulate the calculators or screenshot them with edited numbers.
  • You can link from anywhere we'd be comfortable with our own readers seeing — that excludes anything misleading, hateful or unlawful.

FAQ

Do you charge for partner badges or referrals?

No. The badges and links are free to use. We don't charge a referral fee, and we don't pay one — Wattcalc is funded entirely by display advertising, so we can keep the calculators independent of installers, dealers and retailers.

Do I need to sign up?

No sign-up. Just copy the snippet, paste it into your site or signature, and you're done. The UTM tags let us see partner-driven traffic in our own analytics, but we don't collect anything about your customers and we don't share that data with anyone.

Can a non-CEC-accredited installer use the badges?

We ask that solar installers and retailers be accredited under the Clean Energy Council New Energy Tech Approved Seller scheme or the CEC Approved Solar Retailer programme before linking from their site. We may decline to be listed alongside or refuse use if there are credible complaints from customers or industry bodies.

Can I customise the badge?

Please use the badges as supplied. You can scale them, but please don't change the colours, wordmark or copy. If you need a different size, dark-mode variant or layout, email hello@wattcalc.com.au and we'll send a custom version.

What about white-labelled or embedded calculators?

Embedded or white-labelled calculators aren't currently offered. Send us a note describing your use case and audience size and we'll consider it for a future release.

How do I know if my links are working?

Click your own UTM-tagged link in an incognito window and the page should load normally. If you'd like a quick once-over of where the badge is appearing on your site, email us a link and we'll take a look.
