General feedback and questions
For general feedback, calculator questions, suggestions for new tools, or anything else that doesn't fit a specific category below:
Email: hello@wattcalc.com.au
Please include the URL of the page you're writing about (if relevant) and a clear description of what you'd like us to look at. Screenshots are welcome.
Spotted an error?
Wattcalc is a YMYL site — the calculators help Australian households make real financial decisions about solar, batteries, EVs and hot water systems. We take accuracy seriously, and any time a calculator output looks wrong or an article cites stale data, we want to know.
Email: corrections@wattcalc.com.au
Please include:
- The page URL
- The specific number, claim or output you're flagging
- The source you believe is more accurate (a regulator publication, government dataset, or recent news article — primary sources only)
- The inputs you used, if it's a calculator output
Verified corrections are usually deployed within 24–48 hours. We bump the "Last reviewed" date on the page when we make a change, and we may credit reporters who flag substantive errors (with permission).
Suggest a new calculator or article
We're actively expanding the Wattcalc toolset. Calculator and article suggestions that fit our editorial scope (Australian residential energy, sustainability, transport electrification) are always welcome.
Email: hello@wattcalc.com.au with subject line "New tool suggestion: [your topic]"
The strongest suggestions explain (a) the decision the tool would help with, (b) the inputs a typical user would have to hand, and (c) why an existing calculator on the market doesn't already do the job well.
Press and media enquiries
For interview requests, comment on Australian energy policy or rebate changes, syndication, or anything else media-related:
Email: press@wattcalc.com.au
Please include your masthead, deadline, and the angle you're working on. We can usually turn around quotes or short data summaries within 24 hours during the working week.
Partnership enquiries
Wattcalc does not accept paid placements, sponsored calculators, affiliate or referral commissions from solar installers, EV dealers, hot water suppliers, battery manufacturers or electricity retailers. Editorial independence from the products we model is non-negotiable.
However, we do work with:
- Australian energy researchers and academics who have primary datasets we should be modelling against (electricity tariff data, real-world solar production, EV usage studies, etc.)
- State and federal government energy bodies who would like to ensure we're representing their schemes accurately
- Clean Energy Council and similar industry associations on consumer-protection content
Email: editorial@wattcalc.com.au
For commercial partnership enquiries that don't fall in those buckets, please see our For partners page.
Privacy, data and legal
For requests under Australian Privacy Principles (access to your data, correction, deletion), GDPR / UK GDPR data subject requests, copyright takedowns, or other legal matters:
Email: privacy@wattcalc.com.au
For full details on what data we collect and how we use it, please read our privacy policy.

For postal correspondence:

Please email rather than post for anything time-sensitive — we don't check post daily.
What not to email us about
To save you (and us) time:
- Solar quotes — we don't sell solar. Use the solar payback calculator for a first estimate, then get three written quotes from Clean Energy Council-accredited installers.
- Electricity plan comparison — that's what the federal government's free Energy Made Easy service is for (or Victorian Energy Compare in VIC).
- Battery brand recommendations — we don't make brand recommendations. Run the numbers through the home battery payback calculator at the price each installer quotes you, and compare like-for-like.
- Tax advice — we don't offer tax advice. Speak to a registered tax agent.
Response times
We aim to respond to all messages within two Australian business days. Corrections of factual errors usually get same-day attention. We do not work weekends or Australian public holidays. If your enquiry is urgent and time-sensitive, please flag it clearly in the subject line.
