Disclaimer
Please read this disclaimer carefully before using any calculator on Wattcalc. By using this site, you agree to the terms below.
General information only
The information, tools and calculators on Wattcalc are provided for general information purposes only. They are not financial product advice, credit advice, tax advice, energy advice or a product recommendation, and they do not take into account your objectives, financial situation, household, roof, vehicle or needs.
Before acting on any information from this site, you should consider whether it is appropriate for your circumstances and seek personal advice from a suitably licensed professional, including a licensed financial adviser, accountant, registered tax agent, accredited solar installer or qualified electrician.
Estimates only
All results produced by Wattcalc calculators are estimates based on the inputs you provide and on assumptions clearly stated on each calculator page. Actual results may differ — sometimes significantly — from the figures shown, including because of:
- changes to electricity retail rates, feed-in tariffs, fuel prices or vehicle servicing costs;
- differences between assumed and actual solar system performance, shading, orientation or panel degradation;
- your individual eligibility for state or federal rebates, STCs, EV incentives or low-income offsets;
- tariff structure (flat, time-of-use, demand or controlled load) and battery presence;
- rounding and the use of simplified models for clarity.
Wattcalc does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of the information or results presented.
No product recommendation
Wattcalc does not recommend any specific solar system, battery, electric vehicle, energy retailer or installer. We are not a credit licensee, an Australian Financial Services Licensee or a licensed electrical contractor, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer, solicitation or recommendation to acquire any product or service.
Australian rates and assumptions
Default values for electricity rates, feed-in tariffs, petrol prices and vehicle running costs referenced on Wattcalc are based on publicly available Australian Energy Regulator, Australian Bureau of Statistics, ATO and ARENA information current at the time of publication. We make reasonable efforts to keep these defaults up to date, but rates and rules change, and we make no warranty that the figures used are current.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wattcalc and its operators exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any results produced by its calculators.
